BIO

Raised in her home town of Canmore, AB, Astrid first started training in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Hip Hop. Upon acceptance into the Edge School for Athletes dance program in Calgary,AB, Astrid quickly progressed and was eager to move to Vancouver, BC to further pursue her career in dance.

   

After graduation, she seized the opportunity of joining Harbour Dance Centre’s ITP, under the direction of Moe Brody, and has since trained with the Source Dance Company, TwoFourSeven Hip Hop Co. and KTL Hip Hop Co. Throughout her years in Vancouver, Astrid has done several short dance films with Julie Tomaino, danced backup for artists such as Warren Dean Flandez, and apprenticed in the debut of Heather Laura Gray’s Contemporary Dance Theatre The Tunnel. She has had the privileged of travelling across North America with the TwoFourSeven Hip Hip Co to compete internationally at well known events such as Artists Emerge, HHI Championships, and Body Rock.

   

Astrid’s love for teaching has led her to choreograph for the Source Dance Company, assistant choreograph for various short films, and teach across Western Canada. Astrid continues to expand her training in both singing and acting.
