Brianne Mapson
(she/her)
Dancer - Actor

BIO
Growing up, Brianne was a competitive figure skater and soccer player. She had always been inspired by the art of dance, however it wasn’t until she was 16 that she took her first dance class in her hometown of Kelowna, BC. Although she started later than most, she found that it sparked her passion and allowed her to have more purpose and direction with her training, and what she wanted to accomplish through dance. For several years she danced and taught at Creator’s Arts Centre, but wanted to further explore and experience dance in different cities.

She has spent many months over the years training in Los Angeles, California, where she trained as a member of the Immabeast Dance Company under direction of Willdabeast Adams and Janelle Ginestra. In the fall of 2018, she made the move to Toronto to further continue her dance training and career, and loved the community she grew to become a part of. There, she trained with George Jones Jr. and his company The Vibe, opened for artist DaniLeigh at the Drake Hotel, performed in many Fever After Dark and Choreoball pieces, and was a substitute teacher at The Underground Dance Centre. In the fall of 2019, she had her first introduction to the world of dancing for Film & Television as a chorus performer on the Netflix show Julie & The Phantoms, and knew instantly that was the path she wanted to pursue more of.

She has trained in, and is continuously training in the fundamentals of jazz, ballet, contemporary, house, & popping, and excels in jazz funk, hip hop and heels.
