BIO
Holly LaRoche is a contemporary dancer and choreographer. She received her BFA in dance summa cum laude from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. While there, she mastered various styles of contemporary and improv techniques, and counts floor work, athleticism, and acrobatics among her specialties (also drawn from her base as a Rhythmic Gymnastics National Champion.) Tisch also offered Holly an introduction into the film industry, where she now dances and choreographs for the screen. Holly toured the United
States with the Joffrey Concert Group, performing classical works by the likes of Balanchine and Ailey. Holly has also performed works by Crystal Pite in Lincoln Center’s White Light Festival, and by Karole Armitage for the Marc Jacobs New York Fashion Week show at the Park Avenue Armory. Her current interests are in melding her rhythmic gymnastics background with the contemporary work of today, whether on stage or screen. Holly is also a writer for industry magazine Dance Informa, and uses her platform to highlight the amazing artists she meets and works with.
