BIO
JOSH LALISAN was born in Manila Philippines and trained dance there until moving to Canada in his early stages and then training in Surrey BC, Canada. Josh has trained at Acts Manila in the Philippines and transferred over to Dancewest Studios where he immersed himself in every style of dance. He also took summer intensives at the TUTS summer camp and at Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance! Where he was chosen to be in Perry Ehrlich’s Showstoppers and has performed all over the lower mainland for events such as the opening act for foreigner, show of hearts telethon, ovation awards ceremony, Santa clause rogers parade and countless more.
Josh is very a expressive story teller, he began his singing lesson at 7 with classical voice and group classical voice. Over the years of training Josh has received scholarships that allowed him to be participating in the Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance! summer theatre program, Josh was invited to join Perry Ehrlich`s Showstoppers. As a member of the show choir, Josh has had many opportunities including performing onstage with Foreigner, opening for the Nylons and singing the anthem at the Canucks game. To compliment his theatre and dance training, Josh currently takes private voice performance lessons with Sylvia Zaradic at Capilano University.
Despite Josh’s busy performance schedule, he also attends school at the Musical Theatre Diploma program at Capilano University. Where he is constantly surrounded by music, theatre and dance. Josh is always either working on choreography, practicing his musical theatre solos or rehearsing for a show either with or outside of the program. During the summers Josh has been busy with Theatre Under The Stars with the past seasons being in their shows Mary Poppins (TUTS 2017) and Cinderella (TUTS 2018) as ensemble.
