BIO
Randall Mella is a dancer, choreographer, performer, instructor and creative director originally from Edmonton, Alberta. He began his training at a young age of 4 with traditional filipino dancing, hip hop, and breakdancing. With a growing love for hip hop and commercial choreography, Randall continued to broaden his training with frequent trips to Los Angeles attending and assisting classes at prestigious studios such as Millennium Dance Complex, KreativMndz Dance Academy, Movement Lifestyle, IMMASpace, and many more. Since then he has explored multiple styles of dance from popping, animation, locking, krump, waacking, house, jazz funk and contemporary all to add to his own unique approach to movement. He has trained closely and mentored under prestigious choreographers such as Alexander Chung, Carlo Atienza, Tony Tzar, Diana Matos, Free Boogie, Anze Skrube, and many more.
Randall's career highlights include dancing in Kenny Ortega’s Netflix series “Julie and the Phantoms”, performing live on televised stage alongside “Lia Cole” for her international tour, choreographing for "Chloe Morgan" for her virtual production, teaching at the “Post Dance Experience” convention, and competing three times at “Hip Hop International” the most internationally recognized hip hop competition! He has also performed for multiple artists such as Tyga, Kid Ink, Rich Brian, and the America’s Best Dance Crew Tour. Randall is popularly known for his direction of two professional dance companies: Cool Giraffes and NXG Company, both of which made marks on national and international competition scenes. Cool Giraffes are best known for their 1st place finish at the Canadian Hip Hop Championships and a top 10 finish at Hip Hop International out of 55+ teams. With NXG Company, he was in direction for two consecutive 1st place titles at Artists Emerge All-Stars, 1st place finish at World of Dance Edmonton and choreographed for the “ENERGY” show in Los Angeles produced by Alexander Chung and Gina Pero.
Randall’s mission is to utilize his love for dance and creative direction to inspire anyone with a passion to pursue their wildest dreams. Through positivity and authenticity balanced with hard work and dedication, he strives to influence other artists to work to their highest potential and accomplish their own incredible feats in order to help live out and further his mission.
